Anybody out there frustrated with their letter connections? ✍🏻 . Calligraphy and cursive look similar enough that it can really mess up your connections. Cursive says you should never pick up your pen until you get to the end of the word. Calligraphy says pick up your pen waaaay more! . I pulled apart this word so you can see where I lift my pen between letters. You can also see that each letter has an exit stroke that will connect it to the starting point of the next letter. That’s how your calligraphy starts to look like it flows- you begin to connect to the ‘right’ place. . Try this out! You can even use this same word: smile! Here’s my #honestvalentine 💕 . Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you today! I pray that you know how infinitely loved you are today. 💖 . Show of hands 🙋🏼‍♀️ has anyone out there had the thought... “I want to make a nice card for [insert name here], but I don’t think I’m good enough yet.” . If that’s you...I understand. I’ve been there. And here’s what I have found: • You are your own worst critic • There will always be room for you to improve • It is ALWAYS a good idea to show the people in your life how much you love & care for them . I challenge YOU, however “good” at calligraphy you think you are to be unafraid & unashamed. Make a card for somebody- your mom, your dog, your co-worker, ANYBODY. And be proud of all the work you’ve put in so far! . What you have to offer right now is worthwhile and meaningful. Put yourself out there and share some love this Valentine’s week!
